* “We Are the World — 25 for Haiti” will premiere during tonight’s coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics (7:30 p.m., NBC). The song was recorded following the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon.

Jordin Sparks is one of 25 performers featured in the video for the song, according to a blog posted on her MySpace today. Other Idols involved in the recording are Katharine McPhee, Jennifer Hudson and judge Randy Jackson.

The 1985 version raised $30 million to fight hunger in Africa.

* The release date for Danny Gokey’s album, “My Best Days,” is rapidly approaching — March 2. And Danny is planning an upcoming appearance on American Idol (surprise, surprise, right?).

Here’s the bigger news. He’ll be touring with Sugarland. You can see some upcoming Sugarland tour dates here. Not sure if those dates will include Danny or not.

Meanwhile, Great American County does a video countdown each weekend. The top four country music videos this week are as follows: 1) “Cowboy Casanova,” Carrie Underwood; 2) “Temporary Home,” Carrie Underwood; 3) “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” Danny Gokey; 4) “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You,” Kellie Pickler.

* Speaking of Kellie, she recently returned from a USO tour where she visited Iraq and Kuwait. And she’s anticipating a very busy 2010.

She hopes to get back into the studio to begin work on album number three. “I’ve been writing. A lot,” she says.

And once the Fearless tour with Taylor Swift ends, she’ll head out on another with an as-of-yet unnamed artist or group for the second half of the year. She says the identity is secret for now.

Kellie fans might want to head to CMT, where they posted videos of her performing four songs, including “Best Days of Your Life.” Here’s the link.

* Meanwhile, are you listening, York Fair folks? That’s Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler who are likely to be touring come September. Probably Danny Gokey, too.
