But the 19-year-old from Langhorne, Pa., just dropped her first post-Idol EP.
One that should confirm that there’s an at-least-sometimes serious songwriter behind that offbeat personality.
The six-song “The Sad Vegan” EP also takes Catie in more of a pop direction.
That’s especially true of the opening track “Savior” and closing track “Party!” The latter is a non-party song that still sounds like a party.
Catie also pays homage to her hometown via the lyrics and music video for “A Little More,” which you can check out below.
Since Idol, Catie has settled in L.A. Yep, she’s a vegan, but actually a quite happy vegan, she told ABC 6 in Philly.
She also has a homecoming show Sunday at the Filemore in Philly, another set for July 2 at the Rockwood Music Hall and is promising more dates soon for The Sad Vegan Tour.
