Morgan Wallen has scored a second number one country hit with Whiskey Glasses.

Nearly a year after scoring his first number one country single, former The Voice contestant Morgan Wallen has done it again.

And this time without an assist from former tour mates Florida Georgia Line.

Morgan’s “Whiskey Glasses” reached the top of Billboard’s Hot County Singles chart last week, culminating a 33-week climb to that spot.

“Today, I learned the best birthday presents don’t always come gift wrapped…” wrote Morgan on Instagram. The singer recently turned 26.

“Whiskey Glasses” dropped back to number two on this week’s chart. But the song is still number one on the Billboard Country Airplay, it’s third week in the position.

Morgan scored his first number one last June when “Up Down,” featuring Florida George Line reached the top of the airplay chart.

“Whiskey Glasses,” written by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish, is featured on Morgan’s 2018 “If I Know Me” album.

Morgan appeared on Season 6 of The Voice, advancing to the Top 20. And he’ll be back out on tour with Florida George Line and Luke Combs later this year.

Here’s the accompanying music video, which was nominated for a CMT Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year.
