Now it has a tender love story of a music video too.
The song would be “Goodbye Summer,” co-written by Thomas Rhett.
This week, it’s number 42 on Billboard’s country airplay chart after peaking at number 39.
Rhett had considered the song for his latest album.
When it didn’t make the cut, Danielle decided to include it on her sophomore album, “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met.”
But she tweaked the song and the title to “Hello Summer,” then dropped it in September in the lead-up to the album’s release.
Yep, the timing was a bit odd.
When Danielle decided to make the song the second single from her album, and release that in August, she went back to the original title.
In fact, the single version also features a vocal assist from Rhett.
“It’s crazy how songs kind of come full circle and find their homes,” he said in a video about the song.
Here’s the new music video.
