It’s a new music Tuesday without new Idol music — unless you want to count the release of season five semifinalist Ayla Brown’s EP.

But, hey, there’s this to enjoy: Danny Gokey’s video for his first single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.”

To see the video, you’ll have to head to the American Idol Web site, which is showing it as an exclusive at least through the end of today.

The video is a treat, with Danny singing the feel-good lyrics as positive messages are flashed at viewers here and there through the song.

A touch cheesy perhaps. But the song sounds like a hit and the video’s likely to leave you feeling at least a little uplifted. Hey, this is Danny. What did you expect?

Anyway, it will be an early frontrunner in my list of top Idol videos of 2010. Of course, it’s only January. (For a look at the tops from 2009, go here.)

Meanwhile, “Best Days” has yet to crack the top 30 on Billboard’s country singles chart, but I have a feeling that will change.

As I’ve noted before, Danny has a proven winner in his corner. Mark Bright, the guy who produced Carrie Underwood’s last two albums and several tracks on her debut, is also the producer of Danny’s debut CD.

The album, “My Best Days,” is due out March 2.
