Music released recently includes new post-Voice singles from Madilyn Paige, Lyndsey Elm, Emily Ann Roberts and Citizen Queen.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Madilyn Paige from Season 6 has teamed up with Maddie Wilson, Bri Ray and Yahosh Bonner for a new cover of “Be the Light.” The original was recorded by Thomas Rhett with vocal assists from a number of country stars, including Reba McEntire and Keith Urban. Writes Madilyn: “I was so excited that these wonderful and talented friends of mine were willing to do this project with me. I want to show my support and love to the black community during these trying times. … I pray that one day we can live in a world free from racism, hate and injustice.” There’s a video version too.

* Lyndsey Elm from Season 9 has released a lovely version of Ruelle’s “I Get to Love You.” Lyndsey got married to Ben Guerrero last June 28 and recorded a version of the song as a surprise to him. One year later, she officially released it. Congrats to Lyndsey, on the cover and the marriage.

* Emily Ann Roberts, runner-up from Season 9, has released a cover of “Springsteen,” which became a country hit for Eric Church. Emily writes that the song “takes me back the same way Kissing Queen does.” That’s the original single Emily released back in late-May. If you’d like to watch Emily performing the cover in the studio, head here.

* Citizen Queen released a spirited version of En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind” on Friday. The five-gal a cappella quintet includes Hannah Mrozak from Season 13. Citizen Queen performed “Free Your Mind” during the live-streamed 2020 Pride Benefit Concert late last month. “En Vogue is such an inspiration to all of us, which made covering this song that much more special,” Citizen Queen said on Instagram.
