Gianna Salvato, a Season 7 contestant on The Voice, has released a first single and is working on an EP.Another Season 7 contestant from The Voice has released her first post-show music.

This time it’s Gianna Salvato — recording simply as Gianna — with a fun, catchy pop single called “Baby It’s You.”

The song hit iTunes Friday. And there’s more Gianna music coming. She’s working on an EP called “The Diary of Lola Grey.”

Lola Grey?

Huh?

Gianna explained to blacksheepmag.com that Lola Grey is her alter ego.

“It’s just a different side of me that sometimes comes out when I write my music,” she says in an interview you can read here. “She’s more forward and a bit braver than me. When I don’t think I am writing for myself, it makes easier to be very honest.”

A pop and soul singer from Freehold, N.J., Gianna was 18 when she auditioned for The Voice with Pink’s “Glitter in the Air” and landed a spot on Team Christina.

She made it to the battle round but was eliminated in a match against eventual Top 20 contestant Bryana Salaz.

You can keep track of what Gianna’s up to through her website. On Twitter, she is @IamGigiMusic.

Now, here’s that new single.
