Baber found a pretty special way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The Season 9 finalist on The Voice released his post-show debut single, the appropriately titled “Kiss Me Hello.”

And news is spreading quickly. By 1:30 p.m., the song had already climbed to 46 on iTunes country charts, sandwiched between some pretty good company, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Carrie Underwood.

The catchy mid-tempo tune is about a guy who doesn’t want to waste any time getting to know a gal he just met in Nashville.

According to Barrett’s website, he co-wrote the song with Kenny Lamb, a frequent collaborator.

Barrett says the tune is “a great way to follow up my incredible experience on The Voice. I’m really proud of this song and feel like it has some real staying power.”

Barrett’s also about to embark on a pretty special series of shows — nine nights of serving as an opening act to Rascal Flatts at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. You can find out more about that and pre-show meet-and-greet opportunties here.

Barrett was 35 when he auditioned for The Voice and turned all four coaches’ chairs with his cover of “Angel Eyes” by the Jeff Healey Band.

He wound up finishing third behind Jordan Smith and Emily Ann Roberts.

Along the way, his songs from the show cracked the Top 10 on the iTunes singles chart three times. He hit number one on the country chart with his version of Conway Twitty’s “I’d Love to Lay You Down.”

Prior to the show, Barrett had already released an EP last year, a pair of singles in 2014 and two earlier albums.
