Chevel Shepherd can finally wash her mismatched music note socks.

The ones she wore under her cowgirl boots every performance night on The Voice.

Black one on her right foot. White one on her left foot.

The ones she feared would lose their luck if they tumbled around in a washing machine.

They proved lucky to the end.

Chevel pulled off a stunning upset to win Season 16 of The Voice Tuesday night, topping Team Blake Shelton’s pair of country singers.

That included Chris Kroeze, a two-time winner of The Voice Apple Music bonus who seemed to have the whole state of Wisconsin at his back. He finished second.

That included Kirk Jay, a front-runner all season after turning four chairs in the blind audition. He tumbled all the way to third place.

And that included fellow teen sensation Kennedy Holmes, another four-chair turn recipient who had stolen the show Monday night with her show-closing performance. She landed in fourth place.

Not that Chevel’s victory was a total shock. As the competition wore on, the teen from Farmington, N.M., with the big expressive eyes got better and better.

She topped all contestants on The Voice on iTunes last week with her cover of LeeAnn Rimes “Blue.”

Then she soared to the top of iTunes after Monday’s show — on both the overall singles chart and the country chart — with her Voice winner’s single, “Broken Hearts.”

At midnight, one hour after Chevel was named The Voice champion, it was still entrenched at number one on both charts.

Chevel’s win also meant a second straight victory for Voice coach Kelly Clarkson, who had dubbed the teenager her Country Tinker Bell.

Remember, Chevel stands 4-foot-11.

In socks. Lucky ones at that.
