New holiday music out this week includes an album from Chevel Shepherd and singles from Serabee and India Carney.

Here’s a bit about each of the releases.

* Chevel Shepherd, the Season 15 champ, released a “A Good Ol’ Country Christmas” on Friday. The 12-song collection includes covers of lots of holiday favorites, from “Let It Snow” to “Mary Did You Know.” The album kicks off with “Country Christmas” by one of Chevel’s idols, Loretta Lynn. “I grew up singing carols with my family, and it’s really not the holidays without these songs as our soundtracks,” Chevel said in a press release. The 18-year-old co-produced the independently released album with Scott “Scooter” Smith.

* Serabee, from Season 1, released an original called “This Christmas” last week. And there’s a music video to match. Writes Serabee on Facebook: “2020 has been a long year. We’ve lost family and friends we’ve loved and times have been tough. We need to come together for each other this Christmas more than ever.” Serabee is the stage name for Sera Buras.

* India Carney from Season 8 recorded “Auld Lang Syne” for an American Express small business TV commercial. Now she’s released an official version as well. “After all of the revisions we went through for the commercial, they wanted to have me produce a full-length version,” India writes on Instagram.
