Chris Daughtry at the World Series

You know when FOX is televising the World Series.

Season 10 Idol winner Scotty McCreery kicked off the series by singing the anthem before game one.

Tonight, Chris Daughtry, lead singer for Daughtry, performed the honors before game seven.

Chris, fourth-place finisher on season five, has gone on to enjoy one of the most successful post-show careers of any Idol contestant.

His band will release its third album, “Break the Spell,” on Nov. 21.

The lead single off the album, “Crawling Back to You,” has been on Billboard’s Hot 100 the last three weeks. And the video to accompany the song was just released. If you haven’t seen that yet, I’ve embedded it below.

A Cardinal fan, Chris was tweeting enthusiastically when St. Louis triumphed in game six.

A couple hours before tonight’s game, he admitted to being nervous. After his performance, he tweeted this: “Not sure why but I got a bit emotional singin the anthem tonight. Thank you all for the support and love!!!”
