Gotta admit, I totally missed this one until I stumbled upon his song on the latest Billboard music charts.
Chris Sligh, the 10th-place finisher on American Idol season six, recently released a second album, “The Anatomy of Broken.”
The Christian-pop album was released under the Word Entertainment label, and the first single (“Only You Can Save”) is quite good.

In his MySpace bio, Chris says the song was inspired by a homeless guy he saw along a road one July.
The song is number 17 on the Christian singles chart 11 weeks after its release. That’s its highest chart position so far.
As for the album, released in mid-September, it’s Chris’ first since releasing “Running Back to You” in May 2008.
That album included a single — “Empty Me” — that climbed as high as number six on Billboard’s Christian singles chart.
But Chris’ most notable music accomplishment since Idol might be as co-writer of “Here Comes Goodbye,” a song that reached number one on the country charts for Rascal Flatts.
