The two lowest-charting singers on iTunes from Top 11 night of The Voice also wound up as the two lowest vote-getters Tuesday night.

That meant Christiana Danielle of Team Alicia Keys and Sharane Calister of Team Adam Levine had to battle it out for the instant save, determined via fan voting on Twitter.

But before the voting began, each sang a save me song.

Sharane Calister: She’ll sang “If I Were a Boy.” She’s struggled a bit to outsing the backing music as the song opens. But her voice blossomed on the chorus. She wound up turning in a pretty good performance, but that one that scremed “I must be saved.” Grade: B–

Christiana Danielle: She sang “A Thousand Years.” And someone needed to tell the audience to shut up so we could better appreciate Christiana vocals. She did a very nice version of that song, building the song nicely while showing off her distinct tone, the thing that sets her apart most as a vocalist. Grade: B

I’d give Christiana a slight edge on the save song though I’ve found Sharane stronger to this point in the competition.

Twitter voters wound up favoring Christiana, though we have no idea by what kind of margin because The Voice couldn’t get its instant save graphic to work. That’s Emmy-award winning TV, folks.

Anyone, Christina now advances to the Top 10, but things get even tougher next week when two singers go home to set the stage for the Season 14 semifinals, which will feature a Top 8.
