Christina Grimmie’s family released a new original from the singer Friday, three days prior to the third anniversary of her tragic death.

Christina Grimmie’s family released a new song by the late singer Friday.

The song is called “Hold Your Head Up,” written by Christina with Khara Lord and Brennan Aerts.

Christina’s brother, Marcus, plays the guitar track on the song.

Part of the proceeds from sales of the song will go to the Christina Grimmie Foundation, which assists families affected by gun violence and breast cancer.

Christina was shot by a crazed fan following a show in Orlando, Fla., in 2016; her mother Tina died of cancer in September.

The Christina Grimmie Foundation has provided $100,000 in support since its creation in 2017, according to its website. A third annual West Coast event is set for Sept. 26.

And “Hold Your Head Up” is the latest in a series of posthumous releases of Christina’s music. Those releases include a 2017 album called “All Is Vanity.”

Christina was the third-place finisher on Season 6 of The Voice.

Here’s “Hold Your Head Up.”
