Carrie Underwood opted not to attend Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy gala Saturday night because of Whitney Houston’s death earlier in the day.
But lots of other stars turned out.
Davis, a mentor to Houston, had expected that she would sing at the party, which went on as planned, he explained, because the diva would have wanted it that way.
