Update: Blake Lewis just tweeted that his new single will be available as a free download for a week from Xbox Music.
The song is “Your Touch” and its the lead single of an album expected to be released this spring.
And you can now listen to a full version of the song, which I’ve embedded below.

For days now, Blake Lewis has been teasing big news that he’d announce on Tuesday.
Well, looks like the news spilled a day early.
Come tomorrow, we’ll have a new single from Blake called “Your Touch.” You can head over to Yahoo.com to listen to a snippet of the song.
The better news: It’s the lead single off an upcoming album from the runner-up on Season 6 of American Idol.
Yahoo reports that Blake has a new record deal with Republic Records and that an album called “Portrait Of A Chameleon” will be out sometime this spring.
In the article, Blake provides the new album will have a vibe that’s “fun, sexy, and positive.”
“This project is really close to my heart, so I’ve only reached out to people I trust and care about,” he added. “My last couple of albums had too many people involved, and the creative had become lost because of it.”
Those last couple of albums would be his under-rated post-Idol debut, “Audio Day Dream” (2007) and his 2009 followup, “Heartbreak on Vinyl,” which spent just one week on the Billboard 200 but certainly offered some bright spots.
