Corey Kent from Season 8 of The Voice and Lauren Alaina from Season 10 of American Idol team up on a new country duet

Corey Kent has teamed up with Lauren Alaina on a new country duet “Now or Never” that dropped Friday.

Corey was a contestant on Season 8 of The Voice and released his breakout hit “Wild As Her” (191 million streams on Spotify) in 2022.

Lauren was the runner-up on Season 10 of American Idol and is no stranger to hit duets, having teamed up with Kane Brown (“What Ifs”), Hardy (“One Beer”) and Dustin Lynch (“Thinking ‘Bout You) for number one country hits.

Corey says “Now or Never” “is a song about drawing a line in the sand for yourself. It’s about loving somebody but refusing to let them continue to hurt you.

“It’s making a stand for yourself & making them make up their mind — ‘You either love me or you don’t.'”

He said he knew the song “had to be a duet” and was thrilled to have Lauren join him on it.

“Her voice brought the song to a whole new level.”

“Now or Never” is also the latest sample of Corey’s upcoming album, “Black Bandana,” set for release next month and available for pre-ordering or pre-saving now.

The album will also feature three other singles Corey has released this year — “Rust,” “Never Ready” and “This Heart.”

The latter already has 20 million streams on Spotify.

Lauren’s last major release was her EP “Unlocked” from last summer. She has upcoming shows as well.
