Daughtry’s new album is making a splash on iTunes.

“Cage to Rattle” landed at midnight. Twelve hours later, it was sitting at number four on iTunes albums chart.

It was number two on iTunes rock chart. The only album in front of it: “Vicious” by Lzzy Hale fronted Halestorm.

To celebrate the release of “Cage to Rattle,” Daughtry also dropped a performance video for “Deep End.” You can check that out below.

And it’s not only the album that was doing well on iTunes.

Three already-released tracks from the album are in the Top 200 on iTunes’ rock singles chart, including “Deep End” (number 42), “Death of Me” (number 46) and “White Flag” (number 122).

Among the songs that hadn’t been previously released is “As You Are.” In a Facebook live chat with fans, Daughtry called that was of the most personal tracks on the album because he wrote it with his wife.

Also new for listeners is “Back in Time,” which Chris labeled his current favorite to play live.

Speaking of which, the band kicks off its “Cage to Rattle” tour Sunday with a show in Toms River, N.J., and recently added new dates.

Those include a Friday, Oct. 5, show at the Luhrs Center in Shippensburg, Pa. Tickets go on sale to the public July 30.

Daughtry will also performing at the Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa., on Aug. 4, the Bloomsburg (Pa.) Fair on Sept. 21 and in Ocean City, Md., on Sept. 22.

You can check out the complete list of tour dates and find out more on the Daughtry website.

“Cage to Rattle” is the fifth album from Daughtry, not counting the band’s 2016 greatest hits album. It’s their first next album in five years.
