David performed a Friday night concert at the Majestic Theater in Dallas, wth a portion of the proceeds going to the hospital.

He was then one of the featured attractions in the annual Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade … along with Santa, of course.

Judging from this story in the Dallas Morning News, David received a warm welcome. Accompanied by a few shrieks. Like the ones that could be heard at the Pullo Center in York when he played there earlier this year.

This parade is a big deal in Dallas. It started back in 1987 and annually draws about 350,000. NBC in Dallas-Fort Worth reported that this year’s parade, held Saturday, drew 400,000.

And if you’re in the mood for some Christmas music, Idol style, you might want to check out “Christmas from the Heart,” the album of holiday music David released last year. It’s one of the best Idol Christmas albums released to date.
