David Archuleta, runner-up on American Idol Season 7, has a catchy new single out.

David Archuleta, American Idol’s Season 7 runner-up, released the single “Be That for You” on Friday.

It’s follows the Christian pop single “I Know He Lives” as David’s second release of 2021.

This time, he teamed up with Joe Tounge and Nate Dodge to write the song; Dodge also handled production on “Be That for You.”

“It’s been a while since I’ve done a romantic song,” David said. “We wrote ‘Be That For You’ to be a more light-hearted love song.

“Wanted it to be vibey and moody, yet make you dance.”

David also released a video for the song, which you can check out below.

Meanwhile, David’s planning a live stream for April 23 and has announced a 29-date tour for early 2022 that includes stops in Washington, D.C., and Sellerville, Pa. Ticket information is available through his website.
