Michael Lynche announced today that his self-titled debut album will be released on Aug. 14.
Pre-orders are now being taken at Amazon.com.
The album costs $8.99 and includes 10 tracks, if you can trust the track list on Amazon.
I’m not certain you can, because Michael has also announced the release of a second single — “Today” — which is mentioned in Amazon’s description of the album but nowhere to be found among the 10 tracks that are listed.
One song that appears in both spots is “This Woman’s Work,” the tune that brought judges to tears when Michael performed it on American Idol back in Season 9, when he finished fourth.
Another song sure to be on the album is his first single, “Who’s Gonna Love You More,” which hit iTunes in mid-May right at the height of Idol fever. You can hear a snippet of it below.
The new single isn’t available yet, but in a Facebook post earlier today, Michael indicated it should be on iTunes within the next two weeks.
