The song is called “Rise,” and you might say it’s being well received.
Sunday night, two days after its release, it was still in the Top 10 on iTunes’ Christian/gospel singles chart.
After a detour that saw him release a country album after finishing fourth on Season 8 of American Idol, Danny has found a home where most viewers of the show probably suspected he’d wind up — in Christian music.
He was nominated for two Dove Awards in 2015 following the release of his first Christian album, “Hope in Front of Me.”
He failed to win, but he’s nominated for four more honors in 2016, including contemporary Christian artist of the year.
Danny is currently on the Positive Hits Tour with Passion, The Capital Kings and Hollyn. And he has two shows coming up this fall in Pennsylvania, playing Shippensburg and Greensburg.
