Elise Testone is preparing to release her first post-Idol single, according to a Tweet she sent out Friday.
The song is called “I Will Not Break,” and it will apparently hit iTunes on Sept. 17.
Update: After a bit of a delay, the song hit iTunes late this week, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
It you want to listen to the tune, head here. It’s a whole lot different than “Whole Lotta Love,” her signature tune from Season 11 on American Idol.
It’s also a simple and beautiful tune, one that has me more anxiously awaiting Elise’s debut album.
That album is nearing completion, Elise told Fox News in Myrtle Beach in mid-July.
At the time, she also said it will include a duet with country star Darius Rucker, a fellow South Carolinian and former lead singer for Hootie and the Blowfish.
Elise’s album will be called “In This Life” and will include 12 original songs. She’s releasing it independently under her own Red Tambo Records label.
