Songland returns for its second season Monday night at 10 p.m. on NBC.

And singing show fans who tune in might recognize two of the four night one contestants.

On Songland, four songwriters pitch songs to an established artist each week.

With the help of producers, the established artist selects one of those songs to record. Seven songs from Season 1 hit number one on iTunes.

The established artist for week one of Season 2 is the superstar country group Lady Antebellum.

And the songwriters pitching songs will be Madeline Mero, Steve Battey, Tim Halperin and Ryan Innes.

Tim was a semifinalist on American Idol Season 10 at age 23. He’s released lots of music since, a combination of original music and covers.

Ryan, from Provo, Utah, was 31 when he auditioned for Season 4 of The Voice, turning four chairs with a blind audition performance of John Mayer’s “Gravity.”

He’s also making the most of his appearance on the show, timing it with the release of new music — an eight-song album called “What I’m Looking Ror” that landed Friday.
