Female singers ruled the night on American Idol’s audition episode Sunday.
Those impressing the judges most included returning contestant Alyssa Raghu, singer-songwriter Ashley Hess and Evelyn Cormier, a musician reality show fans might remember from TLC’s “90-Day Fiance.”
And the night closed with an emotional audition by Lauren Engle, who found herself widowed at age 27 and sang an original called “Compass” that she dedicated to her late husband.
