And just as “Undeniable Love” was debuting at number 42 on the charts, Charlie was releasing the followup, a song called “Now.”
Back when he earned a spot on Season 3 of The Voice, Charlie was operating in the pop singer-songwriter vein.
He explained his decision to start releasing Christian music on Instagram.
“Life isn’t a cakewalk and some of the things that life gives are insanely painful to deal with,” he said. “But it’s really amazing what Christian music can do. Something as simple as having it on in the background can just lighten the air.
“I’ve heard countless stories of how in the midst of a chaotic season, one song can lift the weight and make them believe that it’s all gonna be alright. Hearing people say that my music has allowed them to feel like it’s gonna be okay is so gratifying.
“I believe God’s message is to love everyone, and everything. And to have the ability to spread that message is what brings joy to my heart.”
Charlie has filmed a music video for “Undeniable Love,” but it hasn’t been released yet. Here’s a snippet of the new single, “Now,” released Friday.
