Justin Rivers from Season 4 of The VoiceA Top 16 contestant from Season 4 of The Voice has released a new country EP.

Justin Rivers hit iTunes earlier this month with the five-track “Maybe Monday,” produced by Jay Demarcus of Rascal Flatts.

It’s certainly a solid country effort. Highlights include the catchy “When I Won’t Love,” about a guy endlessly devoted to his gal, and the fun-loving “Cheap Seats.”

This marks Justin’s second EP since appearing on Season 4 of The Voice, which was chock full of country talent.

That’s the season when Danielle Bradbery won and The Swon Brothers finished third. County singers Holly Tucker and Amber Carrington also finished in the Top 6.

Justin made the live playoffs as a member of Team Blake Shelton. But when Danielle and Holly got the fan spots in the Top 12, Blake decided to save the Swon Brothers instead.

Pre-Voice, Justin was a member of the Christian group Austins Bridge, which won a Dove Award for best bluegrass song in 2008 and was nominated for a Grammy in 2011 for best southern country, bluegrass or gospel album.

He was 28 and embarking on a solo country career when he auditioned for The Voice with Kenny Chesney’s “Summertime.”

Since appearing on the show, he’s also released a single called “Stay” and a 2013 six-track “Love for a Livin'” EP.

You can follow Justin through his website and Facebook page. On Twitter, he’s simply @justinrivers.
