Great news for fans of Cassadee Pope, winner of Season 3 of The Voice.
The 25-year-old plans to release her new country single on Friday.
It’s a song called “I am Invincible” and it will be the first release from her upcoming sophomore album.
You can listen to it below and that’s the single art, of course, at right.
Fans have reacted enthusiastically to the news. Some Twitter reaction …

@AmandaYG: Can’t wait to hear the official studio version, Cass! I’ve seen some live videos and it’s absolutely AMAZING! So excited đ
@Dezzy_Cheyanne: It’s so amazing how far you’ve come I remember watching you on The Voice in 2012!! Crazy how good you were/are
@Mets08123:SOOOOO dang excited for this!!! Can’t wait to buy it and blast it all day long!
Post-Voice, Cassadee hit number one with her debut country album, “Frame by Frame.” And the lead single, “Wasting All These Tears,” cracked the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart and sold more than 1 million copies.
But sophomore albums have always been tricky for singing show grads. Can they recapture listeners’ attention once the buzz from their show success fades?
More often than not, the answer has been “no.”
There’s no release date yet for Cassadee’s second album, and she recently told Rolling Stone she won’t be rushing it.
“The sophomore album is in many ways scarier and more intimidating than the first one,” she said in an interview you can read here. “I want to make sure that I’m explaining myself and explaining where I am in my life perfectly with these songs.”
If you live in Pennsylvania and would like to catch Cassadee live, she has several shows scheduled in the area.

I keep hoping Cassadee lands at the York County Fair, but no luck so far.
