Ready to rock American Idol style?

Well then, you might want to circle Tuesday, Nov. 21, on your calendar.

That’s the day we’ll get a third album from Idol’s most successful rocker, Chris Daughtry and his band.

And that’s the day we’ll get a debut album from Idol’s newest rocker, James Durbin, the fourth-place finisher from Season 10.

Both revealed the cover art for their albums last week, and pre-orders for the Daughtry CD — “Break the Spell” — are being taken at the band’s website and on Amazon.com.

If the two songs we’ve heard so far — “Renegade” and “Crawling Back to You” — are any indication of the quality of that record, fans are in for a treat. The latter is already quickly climbing Billboard’s adult contemporary singles chart.

The best news for Daughtry fans might be the fact that there will be a deluxe version of the CD featuring four extra songs, “Who’s They,” “Maybe We’re Already Gone,” “Everything But Me” and “Lullaby.”

And I’m guessing the cover art was inspired by the final track on the base album, “Spaceship.”

Apparently, pre-orders aren’t being taken for James Durbin’s album yet. Nor do we have a track list.

But on Facebook, James wrote Thursday that he was back in the studio “re-singing a couple of things.”

He also offered us this insight into the album, titled “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster:”

“I wish I could just press play and let everyone hear a sneak peek but no can do. I will tell you that it’s not full on metal album and it’s not some sappy bs record, but it’s who I am. It’s the real deal. This is what I want to bring to you every single night. Whenever I perform for you from here on out, this is what you’re gonna get! “
