If chart success translates into votes, Girl Named Tom should be showered in confetti Tuesday night.
For the fifth straight week, the sibling trio of Bekah, Caleb and Joshua Liechty are dominating the charts for The Voice.
As of midnight, Girl Named Tom had four songs in the Top 20 on the Apple Music Top 200.
Which is quite a feat, considering they sang just twice on The Voice’s Season 21 performance finale.
Those new covers — “The Chain” and “Baby Now That I’ve Found You” — were number three and number 18, respectively, on Apple Music at midnight eastern time.
In between were “Dust in the Wind” and “The River,” from two of the trio’s previous performances on the show.
Most impressive: Girl Named Tom was the only member of Monday’s Top 5 to crack the Top 20 on Apple Music as of midnight.
Wendy Moten came closest, rising to number 26 with “Over the Rainbow.” Both of her songs from Monday had cracked the Top 100, giving her the night’s second most impressive chart performance.
Here’s where all the songs stood at midnight eastern time, on the overall chart and on the genre charts.
Again, keep in mind that the rock and R&B charts are much easier to climb than the pop chart.
Update: At noon Tuesday eastern time, Girl Named Tom had reached number one on the Apple Music chart and had four songs in the Top 10 — the two performed on Monday’s show plus “The River” and “Dust in the Wind.” Wendy Moten had climbed to number 12 with “Over the Rainbow.” The numbers in parenthesis below show the chart standing as of noon Tuesday.
