But then, that’s the point.
Looking for a bit of a new sound, the former Voice contestant is working with Scott Hardin and Elliott Ives on production of a new EP to be released next year.
That duo spent the last five years recording and touring with Justin Timberlake, whose sound is definitely not bluntry.
The most recent example of their collaboration with Grace is “Coyote Love.” Grace wrote the song and released the single and its accompanying music video earlier this week.
It’s the third single released this year by Grace, following “Warrior” and “Proof.” The latter won first place in the Americana category in the 2016 International Songwriting Competition.
The upcoming EP will mark Grace’s first major project since her 2014 album “Scaredy Cat.”
Grace was 26 when she auditioned for Season 4 of The Voice. She advanced to the knockout round before being eliminated.
