One of the most impressive vocals during American Idol’s Charlotte auditions came from someone who didn’t try out on her own.
Isabelle Gonzalez was nominated for an audition by an aunt, who said she’d be too shy to try out on her own.
So Randy Jackson showed up at the Alpharetta, Ga., school 16-year-old Isabelle attends to deliver a personal invitation.
Isabelle sang “Nothing Can Ever Change This Love” on Idol in a performance that drew high praise from Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey and earned her a golden ticket to Hollywood.
I’ll post a bio blog on Isabelle and other featured Idol contestants later. Meanwhile, to hear more from the Hollywood bound, head here.
