Savannah Votion showed up on American Idol dressed to impress.

But it was her voice that wound up doing the most impressing on a rousing rendition of “At Last.”

In her pre-audition interview, Savannah says she looks at the show as a great opportunity for her and her 5-year-old daughter.

Now 24, Savannah became a mother at age 19. “I wasn’t ready,” she admits now, but adds, “I’ve learned to be a good mother.”

Not to mention a good singer.

Randy Jackson called her a “natural performer.” Keith Urban said he could hear “life” experience in her voice.

And Mariah Carey called her performance “really strong.”

In the end, the judges unanimously voted Savannah through to Hollywood.
