If you’re from southcentral Pennsylvania and plan to audition for Idol Season 12, your best bet comes this weekend.
Idol will be holding auditions Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Registration is Thursday and Friday, and here’s an inside glimpse at what happens on audition day, courtesy of the Charlotte Observer.
Auditions in Charlotte were Tuesday, and Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and show host Ryan Seacrest were on hand.
No word yet on which Idol celebrities will be at the New Jersey tryouts.

Other upcoming auditions are set for July 10 in Chicago, July 15 in New Orleans and July 18 in Oklahoma City.
