Chayce Beckham has released his first solo single since winning Season 19 of American Idol.
The song is called “Tell Me Twice,” and Clark says it was inspired by his mother.
That’s why the cover art is an old photo of a young Chayce with his mom.
And while the song’s title is “Tell Me Twice,” it’s all about the things Chayce says he doesn’t have to be told twice.
On Instagram, Chayce says the song stemmed from conversations on “a few different phone calls from my mama.
“She told me I needed to write a song called tell me twice so I did, and without thinking, I started writing about all the things I’ve learned to love and value as I grew up. Simple lessons learned that I still keep with me today.”
The song is the first of several Chayce says he’ll be releasing soon.
It marks his second post-Idol release, following the “Can Do Without Me” duet with Lindsay Ell, which dropped in November.
Chayce has also announced 28 tour dates beginning April 14, including some shows where he’ll open for Jimmie Allen or Luke Combs.
