American Idol voters booted Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens Wednesday night on an episode during which Adam Lambert and Brooke White returned to show us how it’s done.

Next week, the Idols will be singing songs of inspiration under the direction of mentor Alicia Keys.

But the focus next week will also be on Idol Gives Back, a two-hour special set for Wednesday night.

We already know Queen Latifah will emcee the event, which will also feature performances by Carrie Underwood, The Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox and Mary J. Blige. The fun starts at 8 p.m. that night.
