Ryan Seacrest said earlier this week he had the list of American Idol summer tour dates for 2009, and he apparently wasn’t joking.

The tour schedule was released Thursday afternoon, and while the top 10 won’t be performing in the immediate area, they have three tour dates scheduled within a two-hour drive of York.

Those shows include an Aug. 4 performance at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.; an Aug. 5 show at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Md.; and a Sept. 8 show at the Sovereign Center in Reading.

Ticket prices for the D.C. show will range from $42.50 to $68.50, according to the Verizon Center Web site. They’ll run from $39.50 to $68.50 for the show in Reading. Ticket price info hasn’t been posted yet for the show in Baltimore.

The Reading tour date is one of four in Pa. The others: Aug. 20 at the Wachovia Center in Philly; Aug. 22 at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh and Sept. 9 at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes Barre.

Tickets for all six of those shows go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9.
