In long overdue move, Randy Jackson leaving American Idol

Well, we won’t have The Dawg to complain about anymore.

No more “in it to win it?” No more he/she “can sing the phone book?”

Oh, what will we do?

Probably enjoy American Idol a little more.

If they don’t replace Randy with someone as annoying as Mariah Carey.

Multiple news sources are reporting Thursday night that Randy has announced he won’t be back for Season 13 of American Idol.

MTV, CNN and FOX are all reporting that Jackson released a statement saying: “Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all the speculation to rest, after 12 years of judging American idol, I have decided to leave after this season.”

In the statement, Jackson calls judging Idol “a life-changing opportunity” but says he’s looking forward to focusing on his Dream Merchant 21 record label “and other business ventures.”

Randy, of course, is the only original judge remaining on Idol.

Now, if Idol will just give Mariah the boot, there will be a glimmer of hope for a new and improved judging panel next year.
