Back in late January, when Jack Matranga and Brooke White released their second EP together, they promised there would be more on the way.
Even though Brooke had a baby on the way, due in May.
Looks like the next EP will be cover songs, according to an announcement today on the Jack & White Twitter feed.
“One from each decade, starting with the ’60s … California Dreamin'” the tweet reads.
The tweet doesn’t indicate when we can expect that EP.
Since getting together to write a single song last year, the duo has released the EPs “Gemini” and “Winter,” both filled with original tunes written by Jack, the former Self Against City guitarist, the former Season 7 contestant on American Idol.
The video above is for the song “Night After Night” from the “Winter” EP, which was released in late January.
You can order the EP from the Jack and White website and get a free download of four live acoustic tracks from the “Gemini” release.
Gee, I’d love to see this duo on an Idol results show someday.
And if you haven’t heard this duo, head to that website. I think you’ll be impressed.
