Just 16 when she auditioned for The Voice, Jaclyn Lovey had already released a debut EP.

And now that her run on Season 14 has ended, she leaves no doubt more music will be coming.

Jaclyn landed a spot on Team Alicia Keys by covering Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” during the blind auditions.

Stolen by Blake Shelton during the battles, she was pitted against Kyla Jade in the knockout round and bumped from the competition despite receiving praise from the coaches for her version of “Put Your Records On.”

Speaking of the battle round, she was paired with fellow teen Britton Buchanan. They performed Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” It turned out to be one of the most successful songs of the Season 14 battles on iTunes.

Here’s what Jaclyn told Voice Views about her time on the show and her music moving forward.

Voice Views: I know the knockouts were filmed in early February. What have you been doing musically since then?

Jaclyn Lovey: I’ve been playing a lot of shows lately. My hometown has been super supportive of me and I’ve been playing as many shows as I can to repay them.

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next? Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future and, if so, what can fans expect?

Jaclyn Lovey: I always want to be making music because it’s what I love and I will be sharing that with whoever is willing to listen. People can expect a sincerity in my music because I find that to be the most important part.

Voice Views: What was your favorite performance from The Voice and why?

Jaclyn Lovey: Each and every performance was a process. I got to know the song and find my place in it and that journey has caused me to love every performance. I do, however, have a special place in my heart for my battles performance with Britton. There is something very powerful about making a duet with someone that is so passionate about music.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Jaclyn Lovey: I grew a lot because of The Voice. Gathering advice from the coaches, making new musical friends, all lead to my growth as an artist, I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
