James David Carter 02-400Blake Shelton might have scored the coup of the evening during the Season 7 premiere of The Voice when he lured James David Carter to his team.

The 34-year-old from Atlanta, Ga., turned four chairs with his cover of the Kevin Sharp country hit “Nobody Knows.”

And Tuesday morning, that was the most successful audition song on iTunes, landing at number 67 on the site’s Top 200 singles chart.

The song was also number 15 on the iTunes country singles chart.

As of 10 a.m., two other singers had cracked the iTunes Top 200 — Taylor John Williams and Luke Wade.

Taylor, a member of Team Gwen, was sitting at number 94 on the overall singles chart and number 31 on the iTunes pop chart with his stripped-down version of “Heartless.”

Luke, the first singer we met during Monday’s episode, was at number 121 with his cover of “That’s How Strong Love Is.” He’s on Team Pharrell.

The ladies?

None cracked the Top 200, but returning contestant Allison Bray — another Team Blake member — hit 88 on the country singles chart with “Merry Go Round.”
