Looking for new songs to download from American Idol’s Top 3?
You won’t find them on iTunes. I’m assuming those trips home prevented the Idols from having time to prepare studio versions of the new songs they performed on Wednesday’s show.
But as a consolation, the tunes the Idols performed a second time are available.
And that’s not a bad consolation considering all three contestants did very well on those songs last night.
Who did the best?
Well, according to the iTunes charts, Jena Irene made the biggest impression with her reprise of “Creep.”
The song has cracked the Top 100 on iTunes overall singles chart and was sitting at number 62 as of 7:30 p.m. The song is also number 9 on the iTunes alternative chart.
The other two songs haven’t cracked the iTunes Top 200, but they are making an impression on genre charts.
Caleb Johnson was sitting at number 5 on the rock chart after that rousing version of “Dazed and Confused.”
Alex Preston’s cover of One Direction’s “Story of My Life” was at 98 on the more competitive pop chart at 7:30 p.m.
He was actually doing better with “Say Something,” a song he covered a couple of weeks ago, which was sitting at number 75.
