Less than a week after performing a tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammys, Jennifer Hudson walked away with two honors at the 43rd NAACP Image Awards Friday night.
At a ceremony in Los Angeles, Jennifer won album of the year honors for her 2011 release “I Remember Me,” beating out “F.A.M.E.” by Chris Brown, “4” by Beyonce, “Lasers” by Lupe Fiasco and “The Light of the Sun” by Jill Scott.
She also won video of the year honors for “Where You At” and performed “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with Ne-Yo during the event, televised on NBC.
Jennifer was nominated in a third category — female artist of the year. That award went to Jill Scott.
