Jeremy Beloate told The Voice he auditioned for the show in hopes of bringing some good news to his family and, specifically, his mother, after a series of tragedies.

Jeremy shared that he lost both of his brothers, Adam and Joel, to addiction. Addiction also claimed the life of his father.

So he took to The Voice stage, singing “Heartbreak Anniversary” in their honor. And he turned the chairs of all four coaches, bringing Reba McEntire to tears.

He opted to join Team Michael, then was rescued from elimination in the knockouts by Snoop Dogg.

The 26-year-old musical theater grad from Baldwin Wallace University is now the only stolen contestants to make it to the finals on Season 26.

And he’s continuing to honor his family.

During the playoffs, Jeremy wore a purple ribbon on the lapel of his jacket, signifying overdose awareness.

Here’s a look back at Jeremy’s impressive run of performances on The Voice.
