Jessie Pitts tops iTunes chart for The Voice

There’s a surprising name at the top of the iTunes chart for The Voice this morning.

Jessie Pitts, 18, of Birmingham, Ala., was sitting at number 120 on the iTunes singles chart with her splendid version of Elton John’s “Your Song.”

Jessie Pitts That’s surprising because Monday’s knockout round episode of The Voice featured at least four contestants who turned four chairs during their blind auditions. And none of them were named Jessie Pitts.

Jessie had turned just two chairs in the blinds and was recently stolen by Blake Shelton after losing her battle round match with Ryan Sill of Team Gwen.

Two other performances from Monday cracked the Top 200 on iTunes: Luke Wade at number 120 with “Rich Girl” and James David Carter at number 169 with “You’ve Got a Friend.”

Below is a rundown of where everyone is landing on the genre charts.

Most of the songs from Monday’s show are classified as pop, which is the most competitive of iTunes’ genre charts.

It’s also a chart currently dominated by Taylor Swift. How dominated? Eight tracks from her just released album are among the top 13 songs on that chart.

All chart positions are as of 8 a.m.

Bryana Salaz, “Heart Attack” — 125 on pop chart

Damien, “How Do I Live” — 11 on R&B / Soul chart

DaNica Shirey, “Saving All My Love for You” — 130 on pop chart

James David Carter, “You’ve Got a Friend” — 39 on country chart

Jessie Pitts, “Your Song” — 45 on pop chart

Luke Wade, “Rich Girl” — 61 on pop chart

Sugar Joans, “Love on Top” — did not chart on pop chart

Taylor Phelan, “Rather Be” — 100 on pop chart
