Each week I check the American Idol performance vidoes on YouTube to see which ones have been viewed most often.

And a trend is developing.

For each of the last four episodes, the same two artists have appeared in the top two spots on the list — Jamal Roberts and John Foster.

John scored the most popular video from Sunday’s show with his cover of “Jailhouse Rock.” Jamal finished a distant second.

Jamal scored the most popular video from Monday’s show with his episode-ending performance of “Heal.” This time, Jamal was a distant second.

You can check out all the number below as of early Thursday afernoon.

If they’re truly an indicator of artist popularity, they could be bad news for Josh King and Mattie Pruitt.

Josh’s last two performances were the least often viewed each night. Mattie’s the second least often viewed among remaining contestants.
