Here’s a bit of good, albeit expected, news.
Juliet Simms, who placed second on Season 2 of The Voice, is working on a new album, according to an interview at TheInsider.com.
The trick is melding her rock voice with music that will be radio friendly without compromising her artistic integrity, says Juliet.
“We know I can sing classic rock,” she says. “We’re trying to marry that with something that can be accessible and something that can be played on the radio in this time. That’s really been the challenge — trying to marry the two sounds so I’m not going against my integrity of who I am as an artist.”
No word on when said album might be out, but you can hear the complete interview with Juliet here.
Prior to The Voice, Juliet released a pair of albums and an EP as lead singer for a group called Automatic Loveletter.
The best is her latest, the acoustically-driven “The Kids Will Take Their Monsters On,” released in June 2011.
If you haven’t heard her pre-Voice music, I’ve embedded a couple of songs from that album below.
