On Sunday, I posted my review of Katharine McPhee’s new album, “Unbroken.”

And I mentioned that two of the songs on the album — lead single “Had It All” and “Terrified”– were co-written by Kara DioGuardi.

Knowing that Kat was doing the nighttime talk show rounds, I headed to YouTube, looking for video from one of those appearances.

I found it, and something else. Video of Kara singing both songs.

So I decided to share.

Kara sure gets carried away singing “Had It All.”

And you have to be patient for the lead-up to the second video. Kara talks a lot about the songwriting process before the singing begins. But it’s worth the wait. A very good version of the song.
Jason Reeves is also featured on Kat’s version of “Terrified.”
