Kat Robichaud from The Voice Season 5 has a new single out. Guess what? It’s not your standard post-Voice fare.

And if you’ve been following Kat since her Top 10 finish on Season 5 of The Voice, you know that means it’s time for some wicked fun.

She doesn’t disappoint. The new song is “What an Excellent Day for an Exorcism.”

Kat calls it “a cross between Cab Calloway and Marilyn Manson and it’s true hell on heels!”

Since The Voice, Kat has released a pair of wonderfully different albums — “Kat Robichaud and the Darling Misfits” and “Misfit Caberet.” The latter features songs from Misfit Caberet, a rock opera variety show she’s launched in San Francisco.

In fact, she recently unveiled a new website for that project and is offering season tickets to Misfit Caberet shows in San Francisco for the first time. Four shows are planned for the 2018-19 season, including two brand new productions.

More is coming from Kat. She’s putting the finishing touches on a song called “Criminal,” based on the story of H.H. Holmes, one of America’s first serial killers. She calls it one of her favorites among the songs she’s written.
