“Smash,” the new show in which Katharine McPhee is starring, debuts on NBC on Feb. 6, the night after the Super Bowl.
So it’s no huge surprise that Katharine was given the honors of presenting at the Golden Globe Awards Sunday night, which also aired on NBC.
Katharine and “Smash” co-star Debra Messing presented the award for best actor in a minseries/movie to Idris Elba for BBC America’s “Luther.”
In “Smash,” Katharine stars as Karen, an actress vying for the lead role in a Broadway musical based on the career of Marilyn Monroe.
She auditions with the song “Beautiful,” and you can get a free download of the song by liking “Smash” on Facebook.
Can’t wait until Feb. 6 to see Idol’s Season 5 runner-up in her new role?
According to Kat’s website, the premiere will start airing for free on iTunes and other video downloading services Monday night.
In the meantime, here are more photos from Kat at the Golden Globes.
